I had a question in mind as to why one of the greatest religions i.e. Buddha Religion (also called Buddhism) was so hated in India. I got few answers which may not contain anything new but certainly impart new information.
There are statues of Black Buddha available having features of people of African origin. When we talk of black races of African origin then people of South India (Dravidians) are also included who have straight hair and comparatively thin lips. These Dravidian people have their origin in Indus Valley Civilization. They lived in a developed civilization and were forced to go into south due to food finding nomadic tribes coming from central Asia. In the process there was blood mixing in various social groups. Castes were made and many groups were enslaved and given the low work according to the proportion of black color in the skin. From this angle Indian caste system is the form of racism and apartheid and still prevalent in its dirtiest form. OBCs, SCs and STs of India are the target of this system and every effort is made to keep them away from quality life and Human Rights. A very large part of corruption in India is caste based as development is not allowed to reach interior of India where these people live.

एक प्रश्न बहुत समय से मन पर टँगा था कि जब बुद्धधर्म दुनिया भर के महानतम धर्मों में से एक है तो उसे भारत में घृणा की दृष्टि से क्यों देखा गया? कुछ उत्तर मिले हैं जिनमें चाहे नया कुछ न हो परंतु जानकारी बढ़ाने में ये मदद करते हैं.
बुद्ध की कुछ मूर्तियाँ दुनिया में उपलब्ध हैं जिनमें बुद्ध का रूप-रंग और नैन-नक्श अफ्रीकी मूल के लोगों के हैं. जब अफ्रीकी मूल की श्यामवर्ण या मेघश्याम (काले रंग) की प्रजातियों की बात आती है तो उनमें दक्षिण भारत के द्रविड़ियन मूल लोग भी इनमें शामिल होते हैं जिनके बाल सीधे और होंठ तुलनात्मक रूप से पतले हैं. द्रविडियन मूल के लोगों का संबंध सिंधुघाटी और हड़प्पा सभ्यता से है. एक विकसित सभ्यता में रहने वाले ये लोग मध्य एशिया की आदिम जातियों के आक्रमण के दबाव में दक्षिण की ओर चले गए थे. इसी क्रम में उस समय के सभी सामाजिक समूहों में रक्त-मिश्रण हुआ. जातियाँ बनी और कई समूहों को गुलाम बना कर उनकी चमड़ी में काले रंग की मात्रा के अनुसार निम्न प्रकृति का कार्य दिया गया. इस दृष्टि से भारतीय जाति प्रथा नस्लवाद और रंगभेद का ही रूप है जो आज भी अपने निकृष्टतम रूप में प्रचलित है. भारत की अन्य पिछड़ी जातियाँ, अनुसूचित जातियाँ और जनजातियाँ इसकी शिकार हैं और इन्हें गुणवत्तापूर्ण जीवन और मानवाधिकरों से दूर रखने की हर संभव कोशिश होती है. भारत में भ्रष्टाचार का बहुत बड़ा भाग जातिप्रथा आधारित है क्योंकि विकास को उन दूर-दराज़ के इलाकों में पहुँचने ही नहीं दिया जाता जहाँ ये दलित लोग बसते हैं.
